12-14 ottobre 2010
«The International Council of Shopping Centers’ (ICSC) 2010 European
Outlet Conference, which last year drew senior industry
representatives from more countries than any other outlet conference,
has announced its line-up of speakers at the event, being held this
year from 12-14 October at the Meliá Milano Hotel, Milan.
Established international brands such as La Perla and one of
Europe’s newest and coolest fashion brands, Desigual, will speak at
the conference. Many other international brands will also be
attending.
Delegates will hear from eBay executive Nicholas Illidge how this
online distribution channel can work in conjunction with
bricks-and-mortar stores. Nicholas will discuss inventory
management, payment, marketing and policing pricing claims.
As the global trade association of the shopping centre industry,
with more than 60,000 members, ICSC supports members in their own
countries, across Europe and globally, providing connections and
business opportunities as well as unique access to retail
organisations and intelligence from across the world.
At the 2010 ICSC European Outlet Conference, run in association with
International Outlet Journal and Value Retail News, new research on
top performing outlet centres across Europe will be presented and
more international brands will tell ‘Why Brands Love Outlets’ and
present their expansion strategies.
Sessions on outlet centre marketing, spotlight on China, Russia and
Egypt, information-gathering through new technology, outlet centre
investment strategies and an outlet centre tour are all on this
year’s conference schedule.
Neil Thompson, chief executive officer of Fashion House and chair of
the ICSC Outlet Conference programme planning committee, said: “Like
traditional shopping centres, outlet centres continue to evolve, and
it’s essential that the industry is well-informed to keep their
outlet centres relevant and exciting. This year we have a fantastic
line-up of brands and industry speakers, and with eBay coming
forward to present their plans, this is going to be the most
fascinating outlet conference yet. With more retailers expressing
their intention to attend, there will be more leasing business done
this year, too”. » ( CS dell’ ICSC)
