Hundreds of FIABCI World Congress participants attended the Prix d’Excellence Ceremony held at the FIABCI 63rd World Congress in St. Petersburg, Russia. Considered the “Oscar” of the real estate industry, the Prix d’Excellence is a prestigious honor supported by the Wall Street Journal, FIABCI’s media partner for the event.Winners are selected by an international panel of experienced real estate experts and are evaluated on concept, architecture, engineering, profitability, marketing results, environmental impact and benefit to society. The real estate projects selected to receive this honor embody excellence in the real estate industry. “Being selected for this prestigious award represents outstanding achievement and is one of the highest honors a real estate project can receive,” explains Alexander Romanenko, FIABCI World President. “The award represents FIABCI’s ideal of promoting the best quality projects in real estate which provide society with the optimal solution to property needs,” he continued. Nominations for Prix d’Excellence Awards are accepted in the following categories: Environmental; Restoration (Heritage); Hotel; Industrial; Master Plan; Office; Public Sector; Residential; Resort; Retail; Rural and Suburban; Specialized; and Sustainable Projects. Projects considered include theme parks, sports clubs, marinas, ski resorts, theatres, hotels, factories; housing complexes, high and low rise apartment buildings, malls, shopping centers, educational institutions, libraries, hospitals, airports and parking facilities. Winners gain access to unique international platforms for their projects and to the FIABCI network of over 110 partner organizations worldwide in more than 50 member countries.
This year, 32 entrants were recognized by the Prix as the best throughout the world (13 winners; 18 runner-ups; 1 special recognition). There were 2 entrees from Russia.
