“Commerz Real just acquired the “De Rooy Logistic Center” logistics facility in the Dutch town of Roosendal for one of its institutional funds. The property features a gross lettable warehouse and office space of more than 45,000 sqm as well as nearly 160 parking spaces for lorries and cars. The building’s tenant is “De Rooy,” an international shipping and distribution company. The deal was transacted within the framework of a sale-and-leaseback agreement, and represents a total investment volume of approximately 28 million euros.
“With the acquisition of this logistic centre, we added a modern and high-quality property to the portfolio of the specialised institutional fund. One of the distinct advantages of the property is that is comes with its own railway siding that extends directly into the hall,” said Hans-Joachim Kühl, Member of the Board of Commerz Real AG and in charge of real estate acquisitions. “The long-term lease with a high-net-worth company as well as the superior strategic location at one of the leading industrial and logistics parks in the Netherland will ensure a secure cash flow and will contribute positively to the fund performance.”
Roosendaal is situated in the West-Brabant region and boasts excellent infrastructural connectivity to the road and rail network as well as to the Scheldt-Rhine-Canal (CS della Società)
