« Internet search engine Google is confirmed to headline the third
general session at this year’s CoreNet Global European Summit in
Berlin (21-23 September 2008) which takes the theme “The
Productivity Puzzle: Redefining the Work Environment”.
Jason Harper, Head of FM, Google Germany and Andrew Laing, Managing
Director, DEGW will speak at the session, entitled “The Total
Workplace at Google”, which will look at how the world’s largest
search engine in partnership with the global design consultancy has
developed their ultimate workplace environment in Munich.
The general session, which is anticipated to be a highlight of the
2008 Summit programme, will describe how Google created a workplace
that was flexible enough to accommodate their rapid growth, host two
completely different business units, incorporate Google’s corporate
sustainability strategies, and provide a tool for attracting and
retaining the best talent, yet still retains the feeling and
influence of Munich.
Illustrating their success in innovative workplace thinking,
guidelines on Google’s productive, flexible, collaborative, engaging
& sustainable ideals are now also being rolled out to their sites
all over the world.
CoreNet Global’s seventh annual European Summit programme will also
feature contributions from science astronaut and research specialist
Ulrich Walter, and bestselling author and business strategist Rowan
Gibson, in a packed programme examining how human productivity can
be increased by work environment factors.
Meanwhile, eleven educational programmes and “SNAP” session will
explore areas such as productivity in the work environment, location
strategies and resource optimisation, and hot topics in corporate
real estate such as sustainability and multiple generations at work.

The event will open with a welcome reception on Sunday 21st

Berlin ) and a closing cocktail reception.
