«HOCHTIEF Russia, a subsidiary of HOCHTIEF Construction, has been awarded the contract to construct the new passenger terminal at Vladivostok International Airport. Once completed at the end of 2011 the four-story building will have a gross floor area of around 43,000 square meters. The client is a consortium made up of OAO Sheremetyevo International Airport together with Russian and international investors. Inclusive of planning services already provided, the project has a total volume of roughly EUR 105 million.
This is already the eighth Eastern European airport contract in a row that HOCHTIEF Construction has won since 2005.
In 2006 and 2009, HOCHTIEF Russia handed over TerminalsC and E of Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow. In 2005 and 2006, HOCHTIEF CZ completed two construction phases of Prague’s Ruzyne Airport. HOCHTIEF Polska is currently involved in construction work at the airports in Warsaw, Wroclaw and Lodz. All three companies are fully owned subsidiaries of HOCHTIEF Construction.
According to Henner Mahlstedt, Chairman of the Executive Board of HOCHTIEF Construction, “The market for infrastructure projects in the Eastern European countries remains stable. We are continually winning new contracts there. Our partnership-based PreFair business model is a major factor for our success in this regard.”». (CS della Società)
