“The official products of the World Figure Skating Championships are on sale on the site www.torino2010.org. The sports event is being held at the Palavela of Torino from the 22nd to the 28th of March 2010.
On the Torino 2010 web site in the special “Store” section, you can see and select the exclusive and unique official products of this important international sports event. You will find a vast assortment of articles that you can receive at your own home delivered by courier; all you need to do is register and make your purchases with a credit card on www.torino2010.org.
The official Torino 2010 merchandising offers a vast selection of articles with a cost range that goes from 3.50 euro to 39.00 euro. There are technical sports articles along with office supplies, simple gadgets and souvenirs: short and long-sleeved T-shirts, polo shirts, sweat shirts, caps and neck warmers along with small objects like badge holders, pendants, cell phone cases, bracelets, dog tags, cups and mugs, pennants and key chains. For the office, you can order mouse pads, pens and pencils and even rucksacks and umbrellas.
The Website, presented in four languages Italian, English, (soon French and Spanish), will be the official pre-event sales channel. During the days of the competitions, six official stores will be open inside the Palavela competition venue for spectators and visitors.
This big international figure skating event highlights the continuity of the Torino territory, from the 2006 Olympic Games up to today, in hosting top-level world sports events. The World Figure Skating Championships will be followed on television by 300 million viewers and will bring to Torino 200 athletes coming from 50 different countries; 300 journalists are expected along with about 50,000 spectators, once again showing off our city to the world and providing significant economic benefits.
