As of 31.12.2010, PRELIOS has reduced the vacancy rate in its nationwide portfolio to 3.53 per cent. This means that at the end of the year 46.592 out of a total of 48.297 own residential units were let. Over the past three years the vacancy rate has been reduced by 30 per cent, thanks to an intensive letting campaign. At the end of 2008 the vacancy rate was still 5.09 per cent.
«In the coming year, too, we will continue to work towards systematically reducing the vacancyrate of our residential properties by running an intensive letting campaign. At the same time we are also planning to open up our efficient letting and sales services to external market partners», says Dennis Heffter, Sales Manager for Prelios Immobilien Management GmbH. «Establishing this additional business portfolio alongside that of managing real estate for third parties is one of our core targets for 2011».
