Held at the Natural History Museum in London on 6 June 2013, Retail and Leisure International’s (RLI) eighth annual Global RLI Awards yet again provided a thrilling evening in recognition and celebration of the most visionary and innovative retail and leisure concepts from across the globe.
At a time when the retail and leisure sectors are facing a number of challenges, economic and otherwise, the Global RLI Awards 2013 showcased some of the best projects the world has seen over the last 18 months.
In her opening speech, RLI Publisher Jayne Rafter said:  Over the past year, it has been heartening to see a noticeable improvement in so many of the global retail and leisure markets. Whilst trading remains challenging in a number of countries, the opportunities for growth, expansion and exciting new ideas is most certainly there for those willing to take the plunge – companies with character, aspirit of adventure and a never-say-die attitude.
