ECE will take over the management of the shopping and service center Tempelhofer Hafen in Berlin from May, 2014.
The center provides space for 70 shop units for retailers, restaurants, and entertainment on a sales area of 21,000 m² on two sales floors. Its anchor tenants include Media Markt, Edeka, H&M, New Yorker, and C&A. The building complex also includes a medical center and offices with a total rental space of almost 5,000 m². Thus, the total rental space of the property covers an area of 37,000 m². 590 parking spaces are available to visitors. A subway station and bus stops in the immediate vicinity of the property provide excellent public transportation connections.
The shopping gallery is the urban center of the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district. Being the only shopping center in Berlin which is directly situated at the water, it has a unique ambiance. Tempelhofer Hafen is located in the middle of Teltow Kanal which connects the Havel, coming from Potsdam in the west, with the Dahme River in the east. The adjacent marina provides anchorage for 39 boats. The combination of shopping, restaurants, and leisure facilities with an impressive landmarked architecture lets the location stand out in Berlin.
The Center is owned by R+V Versicherungsgruppe and is as yet managed by IPH Handelsimmobilien.
