Le mie ricette per la real estate communityAccording to the KTI statistics, some 87,000 sqm of new office space was completed in 2017 in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area (Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa). The amount more than doubled from the previous year, when some 36,000 sqm was completed. Several new office projects were started during the year, and there were approx. 128,000 sqm of new office space under construction at the end of December 2017.
Retail construction volumes are even higher. New retail space completions in the Helsinki metropolitan area amounted to some 102,000 sqm in 2017, which is the highest figure for 10 years. At the end of December, there were as much as 277,000 sqm of new retail space under construction (150,000 sqm at the end of 2016). Retail construction remains active also in the Tampere region where some 85,000 sqm of new retail space was under construction at the end of December 2017.
