Le mie ricette per la real estate communityForuminvest Italia has signed the preliminary purchase agreement for a land plot of 1.15 ha for hotel development of 240 rooms and 120 parking spaces.The seller is Villa Carmen Srl, an Italian joint venture between Schiphol Real Estate and an Italian partner. The purchase price was not disclosed.
The hotel will be located right in front of the international terminal of Malpensa Airport (Milan), on the grounds of Vizzola Business Park. The site is easily accessible from the A4 and A8 highways. The Malpensa Express train, connecting the airport to Milan city centre, is within walking distance.
In April of this year, Foruminvest will start construction on a new 250-room hotel adjacent to the Rotterdam Ahoy concert venue and convention centre. Foruminvest has signed a long-term lease for the hotel with German hotel operator HR Group. HR Group plans to operate an ibis Styles hotel and has closed a franchise agreement with Accor. HR Group is a multi-brand hotel operator based in Berlin. The company operates nearly 80 hotels in Europe.
Rotterdam Ahoy has long wanted a hotel next to its events venue, and even more so since last year’s opening of the Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre. Both (international) business events and large-scale concerts and other leisure events create heavy demand for overnight stays.
