PropertyEU is pleased to announce thatEuroProperty, edited by experienced property journalist Mike Philips, has joined the group, and is delighted to add senior editorial figuresJane Roberts and Robin Marriott to the editorial team.
To expand the coverage for PropertyEU’s global readership, Jane and Robin will be launching two new titles FinanceWatch and CapitalWatch.
This follows on from the naming in December 2016 of Richard Stephens, founder and editor of Poland Today, as PropertyEU’s editorial and commercial representative for Central and Eastern Europe. Combined, these initiatives further strengthen PropertyEU’s position as the leading independent source of real estate news & analysis, data and professional networking events in Europe.
“2017 marks a significant step forward for PropertyEU,” said group publisher, Richard Betts, “with our focus on providing business-critical intelligence and analysis, and high quality events, we can now bring to the market an editorial team and platform which offers more insight, experience and contacts than any other in European real estate. Coupled with the acquisition of EuroProperty, this brings our global readers a truly comprehensive presence in, and coverage of, both UK and continental European real estate markets as well as the opportunity to create new events focused on capital, debt and finance.”
Group editor in chief, Judi Seebus, who has just celebrated 10 years as founding editor of PropertyEU, said: “PropertyEU continues to go from strength to strength. Jane, Robin and Mike are acknowledged as the leading industry journalists in their respective fields and will bring a huge depth of knowledge, valuable insight and experience for our readers. I have been an admirer of their work for many years and am delighted to welcome them to the team.”
EuroProperty is the longest-established pan-European real estate investment title. The publication has built a reputation over many years for exclusive news on upcoming investment transactions, as well as detailed analysis of key market trends and interviews with senior figures driving the market. Europroperty celebrates its 25th anniversary with a special anniversary issue in March this year at the MIPIM real estate fair in Cannes, France.
In keeping with the increasingly fast-paced world of news analysis, EuroProperty will increase its frequency to become a weekly publication, allowing readers to benefit from valuable breaking news and analysis every Friday morning from April 2017. Jane, Robin, Judi and the existing PropertyEU staff will contribute to the new weekly publication, edited by Mike.
“The next 12-24 months are set to be an incredibly interesting period for real estate, with increased political volatility and worries about the cycle sitting alongside the fact that the amount of capital targeting real estate continues to remain high,” said Mike Phillips, editor of EuroProperty. “In that sense, real estate investors need as much information as possible, and between EuroProperty and PropertyEU, readers and commercial partners will receive exclusive news and in depth analysis daily, weekly and monthly, in whatever format they choose.
The new weekly edition of EuroProperty will compliment PropertyEU’s current stable of publications, the online Daily News, extra digital news alerts and PropertyEU print and online magazine (monthly). Judi, Mike and the editorial team will work together to make sure readers get the most important news, data and analysis first, and in the most convenient publication.
New publications
PropertyEU was founded in 2006 with a commitment to focusing on the deals and dealmakers in European real estate. Over the years PropertyEU has consistently expanded and deepened its coverage, via innovative industry rankings and new publications such as Top 100 Investors special reports and RetailWatch, the leading pan-European publication for the retail sector.
The launch of CapitalWatch and FinanceWatch expands our coverage in two key areas:
CapitalWatch is a first-of-its-kind print publication for the PropertyEU group as it focuses 100% on the capital flowing into real estate in Europe. Edited by Robin Marriott, former editor of Private Equity Real Estate, CapitalWatch will contain interviews with global capital sources; articles on the mega trends in terms of how investors are accessing property; where they are deploying equity; and what their managers are doing on their behalf.
FinanceWatch, edited by Jane Roberts, who founded Real Estate Capital, focuses on the other vital element fuelling real estate investment: financing and debt. Initially published twice a year, FinanceWatch is an A-Z of who’s lending, supported by analysis and commentary on the key trends and strategies driving the market.
“Finance is a logical area for PropertyEU to expand and deepen its coverage, helping its property investor readers and clients to track the changes in the European debt market”, Jane said.
