ECE has sold the “Logistics Center Berlin-Süd” in Königs Wusterhausen near Berlin to AXA IM – Real Assets, which is acquiring the asset for a fund that it manages. The signing for the transaction has just taken place and the closing is scheduled for early 2021. The 56,000 square meter logistics center has been developed, designed, and realized by ECE and was already completely leased prior to completion and taking up operation in October. The long-term tenant of the property is the international logistics service provider CEVA Logistics, a member of the shipping and logistics group CMA CGM.
The ultra-modern logistics property which is designed for flexible use and includes separate office and social areas with high-quality furnishings is conveniently located just south of Berlin, approximately only five kilometers from the city limits within the Berlin expressway ring (A 10). The freeway entrance (A 10) is approximately 1 km away. The drive time to the Berlin Brandenburg Airport is approximately 20 minutes. The logistics center meets the highest standards of sustainability and a “Gold” certification from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) is planned.
