In a joint venture with a German real estate special fund, Hines, the international real estate firm, has acquired a retail park in the district “Berlin Mitte” from a pan-European fund managed by CBRE Global Investors. The shopping centre, located in the direct vicinity of Berlin-Gesundbrunnen railway station, offers a net rental space of roughly 13,000 square meters on two floors with over 300 parking spaces. Tenants of the property include Kaufland, TEDI, KiK and JohnReed. Both sides have agreed to maintain confidentiality regarding the purchase price.
The retail park on Brunnenstrasse benefits from the direct connection to local and long-distance transport via the adjacent Gesundbrunnen station as part of the Berlin circular railway. In addition, the underground station of the U8 line is located directly on the property. Numerous developments in the immediate vicinity have triggered an appreciation of the location, which will continue in the future.
