ICSC trend-watches at new Research and Asset Management Forum
The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) is launching a brand new forum this autumn for the first time bringing together shopping centre research and retail asset management experts to debate and analyse the future shape of the shopping centre industry.
The Retail Strategy and Trends Forum will focus on driving value in an evolving retail world and will take place on 28-29 November in Prague.
ICSC Europe Managing Director, Mike Morrissey, said: “I predict that harnessing the combined expertise of our Research and Asset Management member groups will result in very a powerful conference where practical issues faced daily by retail asset managers are shared with researchers who have the knowledge and analytics to help deliver strategic growth.”
At the conference, experts from across Europe will focus on investment strategies and consumer trends as well as hearing an up-to-date briefing on the latest multi-channel and e-commerce strategies being followed by some of the most successful shopping centres and retailers.
Alexandra Petit, Retail Analyst at Hammerson and Chair of the Retail Strategy and Trends Forum committee, said: “I am delighted that our ICSC European Research Group is partnering with the ICSC Retail Asset Management Group to deliver a conference which can bring together some of the most informed industry minds to help plan the industry’s road ahead.”
Robert Bonwell, CEO EMEA Retail at Jones Lang LaSalle, and co-chair of the Forum, added: “To make the step change needed in the vital and dynamic shopping centre industry across Europe we need to pool ideas and resources. The Retail Strategy and Trends Forum is exactly the way to do this to enable ICSC members to harness and put to work the formidable knowledge shared among ICSC members.”
