The Mainz-based Hotel specialist Feuring Hotelconsulting GmbH has recently opened two hotels in Milan and Venice with Hyatt Hotels Corporation. With both hotels, Hyatt is launching for the first time its new Hyatt Centric brand as a so-called full-service lifestyle category.
In August 2018, Feuring has taken over the two buildings from the Milan-based LaGare S.p.A., and is currently repositioning them under a comprehensive rebranding project. Hyatt has signed a long-term management agreement for both hotels. The investor is a Luxembourg Real Estate fund, for which Feuring is also ensuring the Asset Management of both properties.
The Hyatt Centric Murano Venice is the first Hyatt hotel in Venice. It is located on the island of Murano, the glassblower centre of the Lagoon city. The building is located at 50 meters next to the Glass Museum of Murano, at close distance from the Basilica Santi Maria e Donato and comprises a total area of 8.140 square meters and 119 rooms. The hotel is accessible by ferry from the airport in approximately 20 minutes and 10 minutes from the central place San Marco. The building was built inside the walls of a former glass factory and is furnished with modern and contemporary facilities by offering views on the Canal Grande di Murano.
The second hotel now opened with Hyatt is the Hyatt Centric Milan Centrale. It comprises a total area of 9.600 square meters and 141 rooms. The hotel is located in the Porta Nuova district at close distance from the Milan’s central railway station. The modern building offers spacious rooms and suites, which are partially equipped with private Turkish baths and terraces on the 12th floor. The roof top features a 360-degrees sky bar with a panoramic view on Milan. The wellness area comprises a Roman bath, sauna and Turkish bath.
«After the development of Hyatt Regency in Dusseldorf and Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport, we are very pleased about the opening of the two hotels in Venice and Milan. Especially, because they are the first “Hyatt Centric”-branded hotels in Italy. This acquisition emphasizes our long and successful cooperation with Hyatt » says Matthias Lowin, Managing Director of Feuring Hotelconsulting GmbH.
