Fancier, clearer, more modern: Redesigned Löhr-Center in Koblenz will re-open on Thursday (March 2, 2017) following a refurbishment period of two years. The comprehensive modernization amounts to more than 33 million euros. The center was developed by ECE and it is one of the first inner-city shopping centers in Germany. Since its opening in 1984, it has been managed by ECE. The three-story mall received a new and fresh look including a new color and lighting concept, an optimized mall layout and four new escalators. Along with the refurbishment came a restructuring which included the construction of three areas “The Collection”, “The Lobby” and “The Boutique” with a high quality of stay. Moreover, a new, iconic entrance was added to Löhr-Center. Covering a sales area of 2,200 m² on the first floor, the Spanish fashion retailer Zara is the center’s new major tenant.
“The new Löhr-Center with its modern mall design and many new offerings attracts visitors of all generations and will be interesting especially for families,” said Dr. Knut Volquardsen, Project Director Development at ECE. New tenants at Löhr-Center besides ZARA, include Liebeskind Berlin, Tom Tailor, Only, Leo’s and Apollo Optik. Other tenants are a big REWE supermarket, a dm drugstore, P&C, Thalia, Douglas, Marc O’Polo, Comma, Vero Moda, and Jack & Jones.
